I have had the GeneralAire humidifier for 6 years. The other 990-13 evaporator pads that I have purchased cost close to twice as much per pad as the 2 pack including shipping. The powder is on every pad that I have used. Rinsing the pad with water washes off the extra powder and makes it easier to handle without making a mess. Good quality and great price.

This is humidifier pad. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. It has a blue powdery coating on it that holds the water.

Nice at half the price !

[...] Fits and works perfectly . I am glad that one review said to wash off the blue powder , because the powder smell was awful . But washing it first did the trick . Shipping was fast . Just two days ! All in all very happy with the purchase .
