Great Potential

Had one of these units prematurely quit, not triggering the Aprilaire humidifier. Aprilaire technical reps were great assisting to determine the problem of the humidifier not working, which was the humidistat. Unfortunately, it was out of warranty, so had to purchase. Mechanical and electrical installation was simple. Worked at start-up, and has been doing fine since. Do hope it lasts longer than the last one, though. They are not cheap.

New Humidistat has 14 year old 550A functioning again

After confirming that old original auto-trac Humidistat was not functioning correctly. It had AC in but no AC power out to solenoid valve even in test mode. Installed new RP56 Humidistat making sure to transfer the wires to the correct connections on new humidistat. Now the humidifier is functioning correctly. The part was delivered as promised and it was packed well. I would do business with them again.

Item was as described. Worked perfectly to replace an identical 8 yr old unit that had failed this winter. Rated 4 stars only b/c its old technology and there are newer/better aprilaire humidistats available. Recommend having a professional install as there is a lot of margin for error when installing for automatic mode.
