We purchased two of these for our shop after initially purchasing a JDS unit (which we still have) It is very well constructed and quiet even at the highest setting. The noise level on high is not high frequency so it sounds more like white noise in the shop. The JDS unit put out a more irritating whining sound. The unit takes standard size 20 x 24 x 2 inch filters. It also has the option to add an internal 20 x 24 x 2 charcoal filter. The bag filter inside is washable. I can't see any down side except for the fact I wish you could turn off the remote feature and just turn it on with an ac switch. Its not cheap but is constructed so well that it really is a great buy.

The machine was well packaged and delivery was well executed. The installation was simple. A plug in power cord like a computer with 2 recepticles one near the base and one on the top would make for a cleaner installation. Overall I'm very pleased with the machine.

This filter works very well I'm pleased with its performance.
Replacement filters are not a standard size and thus difficult to find.
And it would be nice if it could be converted to run on 230 volts.
